Muhammad Ali Ahsan

Muhammad Ali Ahsan

Muhammad Ali Ahsan, 17, is the founder of THRIVE17, a youth-led initiative based in Mirpur, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, focused on driving positive change through education, environmental sustainability, health awareness, and youth empowerment. An A-Level student at Roots Millennium School and a learner at PIAIC specializing in Generative AI, Ali combines academic excellence with a deep commitment to social impact. His leadership journey began with Muslim Hands, contributing to campaigns on climate action, orphan care, and public health. He has also interned with The Citizens Foundation, Clarity Accounting, and Siraj Steel Industries, gaining valuable insights into nonprofit operations and ethical leadership. At THRIVE17, Ali leads projects like plantation drives, education outreach, and support for special children. He also serves as a Unified Leader Ambassador for Special Olympics Pakistan, representing Mirpur, AJK. Ali believes youth, when empowered with the right tools and trust, can become powerful agents of change. His leadership reflects maturity, compassion, and a vision to uplift underserved communities by turning local ideas into action. Through plantation drives, education outreach, and engagement with special children, he continues to lead with purpose and impact.

Maaz Asad

Muhammad Maaz Asad

Muhammad Maaz Asad, aged 17, is a driven youth changemaker and co-founder of THRIVE17, a nonprofit organization based in Mirpur, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. A current A Level student at Roots Millennium School, Maaz is passionate about creating sustainable and inclusive impact through community-led initiatives. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing THRIVE17’s five core projects, from educational outreach and orphan support to environmental action and inclusivity for children with disabilities. With a bold vision and unwavering determination, Maaz continues to inspire positive change, contributing meaningfully to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Nimra Sajjad

Nimra Sajjad (Co-founder)

Nimra Sajjad is a dedicated youth advocate and co-founder of THRIVE17, a youth-led nonprofit organization based in Mirpur, AJK, focused on inclusive development and community empowerment. With a background in International Relations and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in IR & SS at Air University, she brings a strong academic foundation to her grassroots engagement. Drawing on her experience with the National Assembly of Pakistan and various youth-led movements, she continues to lead with purpose—bridging local action with global development goals.

Nimra’s work reflects a commitment to social equity, educational outreach, and sustainable impact. Beyond activism, Nimra is a published author and rising literary voice, using fiction to spark dialogue on education, gender equality, justice, and climate action. Through THRIVE17, she champions youth empowerment, safe learning spaces, and environmental awareness, guided by a deep belief in empathy, pluralism, and transformative change.

Finance Head

Isma Sajjad, aged 20, is a dedicated youth leader and finance enthusiast from Mirpur, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Isma serves as the Head of Finance at THRIVE17, a youth-led nonprofit organization committed to sustainable development and inclusive community impact. In her role, Isma leads financial planning, budgeting, and strategic allocation of resources across THRIVE17’s core projects, ranging from education outreach to environmental initiatives. Her contributions to youth development and community uplift reflect a strong vision for inclusive progress, aligning closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Sadia Sajjad

Marketing Head

Sadia Sajjad is a passionate youth leader and the Head of Marketing and Media at Thrive17, a youth-led nonprofit organization based in Mirpur, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in Mass Communication, Sadia combines her academic knowledge with a strong commitment to social impact and digital outreach. With a deep interest in communication for change, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the public image of Thrive17 and spreading its mission through impactful storytelling and strategic engagement. Her leadership in media and marketing has helped amplify the voice of Thrive17’s five key initiatives—ranging from educational empowerment and orphan support to environmental sustainability and disability inclusion. Sadia’s creative direction ensures that each campaign not only informs but inspires, building strong connections between the organization and the communities it serves. Driven, focused, and purpose-led, she continues to use her platform to highlight the power of youth-led action and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
